With more and more home buyers using the Internet to find their next home, how many people come to the website of the Realtor that is listing your home should be part of your decision criteria when picking an agent. Any agent that is serious about Internet marketing will be able to give you statistics from their website taken from their web logs. Another way of getting an idea on the amount of traffic is by going to and clicking on Traffic Rankings. Once you enter a web site address and get the next page, click on “Traffic Details” which will show you traffic rankings for the previous day, week, and 3 month average. From what I’ve seen, sites with rankings above 2,000,000 or have “No Data” are seldom visited.

Internet Marketing is not just saying “Yes, I have a website”. Any agent can get a website (there are lots of “template” real estate website companies trying to sell websites to Realtors), but a website will only help to sell a home if people visit it!
