Vegas Trip

I took my wife to Vegas this weekend for a quick getaway (first time without the kids for 19 years). We flew with Allegiant Airlines out of Santa Maria. No complaints other than we were delayed both going out and coming back because they are doing construction on the runways at the Vegas airport. We did a lot of shopping, walking, and people watching.

Here are a couple photos I took with my Blackberry. This is one of my wife’s favorite places:

And here is one of my favorite places!

I actually did visit a place I had never been before but found it on the web. It’s called the Pinball Hall of Fame and it’s a couple miles from the Strip. They have LOTS of classic pinball machines (that work). One of my all time favorites, Gilligans Island, was there as well as some really old pinballs I remember playing when my parents left me at the arcade at Harrah’s in South Lake Tahoe in the late 60’s.

Here is one those machines (a baseball one).

I took this photo too. Didn’t play the machine, just thought it was kinda cool to see Ted Nugent on a pinball (sorry that it’s a bit blurry).

They also had a few classic video games like an original paddle tennis (pong), Tron, Asteroids, and some others.
