There are efforts being undertaken by some Real Estate Brokerages to try to get business for their agents in this down market. I just read one of the initiatives by a nationwide Brokerage which they position as something they are doing to “help” clients and put it on the same pedestal as Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. I won’t name the brokerage as it’s the corporate office that’s doing this and wasn’t developed by agents on the Central Coast. What I thought was interesting was one of the classes they are offering their agents titled

“Creating a Sense of Urgency in Buyers”

I don’t know about anyone else, but I wouldn’t want a real estate agent that is going to use Sales techniques to try to create an emotional response to get me to buy a house. I would want someone to tell me the facts and give me their honest and professional opinion. Isn’t it all about TRUST?
