Our statistics dashboard has been updated with December 2010 data so you can look at year to year comparisons amongst other things.
The percentage of distressed single family homes (foreclosures/REOS + Short Sales) increased in every SLO County city in 2010 except Nipomo, Oceano, Paso Robles, and Santa Margarita. Santa Maria/Orcutt’s distressed percentage continues to decline from its peak in 2008.
Below are a couple of screen shots from the dashboard. The first shows the mix of REOs (blue), Short Sales (yellow), and non-distressed (green) homes for SLO County. The mix is real similar to 2009.
Total home sales in SLO County was almost identical to 2009 as well as shown by the following graph.
Our Interactive Dashboards contain over 1400 graphs of market statistics in an easy to use, point-click-see format. You can access the dashboard here.
It is flash-based so it will ask you to install a flash plug-in if you already don’t have one installed. It may take a few seconds to load the first time (depending on your connection speed) but once it’s loaded, all graphs will be displayed QUICK! The dashboard comes up showing Condos as the default. Make sure you pick the property type you want to look at (SFRSB is Single Family Homes – Stick Built).
Also, if you put your mouse over one of the elements on the graph, it will display the detail. Pretty cool, eh?
