The term “Sold As-is” means different things to different people. In real estate, you can’t have a problem house and just say you’re selling it “as-is” and not disclose what the problems are. When most people say a property is being sold “as-is”, it really means that the property is being sold in the Present Condition. A Seller has to disclose anything about the property they are aware of. There is no way to sell a property that has a defect that you don’t want to disclose and not be held liable. Some think that “as-is” will protect them. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! You need to Disclose, Disclose, Disclose…EVERYTHING!!!
