Mid-Year 2014 Statistics Update

The statistics dashboards have been updated with data from the first 6 months of 2014. San Luis Obispo county is continuing to see an increase in median home prices, and a decrease in foreclosures and short sales.

All cities in San Luis Obispo County, except Avila Beach, Nipomo, and Templeton, have seen their Stick Built non-foreclosure homes median home prices increase.

Our Year-T0-Date dashboard currently compares data from the first 6 months of each year. The total number of sales of Stick Built homes in SLO County has dropped slightly this year, with 1,248 homes sold so far in 2014 and 1,352 homes sold in the first 6 months of 2013. YTD Dashboard

With all of the news lately about home prices across the nation, it continues to be clear that real estate is LOCAL. It is impossible to generalize the trends seen across the nation, and apply them to our market here in SLO County.
