Meteor Shower Tonite

The Leonid meteor shower is going to peak tonite. The best time to see it is when the full moon is set, around 4:20 AM.  Either you’ll have to be up late (which I usually am) or get up early to see the peak.  The experts say that you’ll see between 20-40 meteors per hour at the peak which means you’ll be staring at the sky a lot.

On my IPAD, I have the star gazing app which allows me to hold up the IPAD and it displays the stars that I’m looking at on the IPAD screen.  I tried it last night and Leonid is in the Eastern sky.
