Residential Inventory (Home, Condo, PUD) took a BIG jump in both SLO County and Santa Maria over the past month. As shown on the graph below, we haven’t seen the inventory so high in SLO County since 2008. Santa Maria/Orcutt also took a big jump this month too.
While SLO County inventory rose significantly, certain cities really took a jump. The city of San Luis Obispo is now at 280 units which is the highest level since I started tracking inventory in July 2006. Last year at this time, SLO’s inventory was at 210 units. Cambria is also at it’s highest level since 2006 too.
